MAJOR CLASSIC EVENT GROWS IN STATURE
Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre, Knockhill Racing Circuit, near
Dunfermline in Fife is proud to be hosting the third Scottish Classic
SpeedFair on Sunday 8th June.
Naturally, there will be a strong Scottish content on the programme including
a special tribute to Scotland’s greatest racing driver, Jim Clark who was killed
on the 7th of April 1968 whilst racing at the Hockenheim Racing Circuit in Germany.
One of the most sought after awards will be the Sir Jackie Stewart Trophy for
Formula Ford Single Seater racing cars.
In addition, two major Ferrari racing series will make their debut at the
circuit whilst Classic Sports and Saloon car drivers will be competing in the
first ever running of the Jimmy Stewart Trophy race, honouring Sir Jackie’s late
elder brother.
The 1995 World Rally Championship winning Subaru of the late, great and sorely
missed Colin McRae will take pride of place amongst the many special exhibits.
Visitors to the nostalgic extravaganza can expect to enjoy a fantastic day of
4 wheeled motoring heritage and entertainment both on the track and off it
with hundreds of classic exhibits and demonstrations.
Classic SpeedFair truly has something for everyone, from grandson’s to
granddad’s.
Any media support you can provide beforehand will be most welcome and
much appreciated.
I would be delighted to issue tickets to the event for those of you interested in
providing media coverage and would hope to welcome you to Knockhill personally.
Please contact the Circuit for all Media Ticket Enquiries- 01383 723337
Meantime, best wishes from Knockhill.
