DOES YOUR COMPANY NEED DRIVER TRAINING?
If you answer YES to the following questions then you should be considering driver training:
- Would you like to reduce road accidents involving you company car drivers?
- Would you like to reduce your insurance premiums?
- Would you like to improve fuel economy?
Defensive Driving courses by Knockhill Racing Circuit can reduce all of the above and more.
WHY DO DRIVER TRAINING?
As an employer you have a responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work act 1974, to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the health and safety of all employees while at work. There is also a responsibility on your part to ensure that others are not put at risk by your work-related activities. By doing Driver Training your Health & Safety record and environmental credentials will improve, your company’s brand image will be enhanced – particularly if you have liveried vehicles on the road, and you’ll benefit from improved morale and motivation amongst staff who feel more valued and protected.
Driver Training can improve a driver’s awareness therefore making them a more ‘hazard perceptive’ driver, which ultimately leads to less 'down time' due to accidents, injuries or repairs.
WHAT DOES KNOCKHILL’S "CENTRE FOR DRIVER EXCELLENCE" OFFER?
Knockhill has been offering Driver Training for 12 years and can tailor a course to suit any requirements. Our driving training manager is one of the highest accredited driver trainers in Scotland. As well as having highly trained A.D.I. driving instructors and first class vehicles, Knockhill operates Scotland’s only purpose built skid pan and emergency braking lane.
Simulated skids of up to 60mph are executed in the safe confines of theskid pan. Brake and avoid manoeuvres and ABS training on the emergencybraking lane. Normally all of the training takes place in our vehicles, however if you require training in your specific vehicle we can incorporate your vehicle on road. The facilities at Knockhill Racing Circuit offer scope to add in off road driving, trailer towing and reversing. The aims are to develop the correct approach to minimising risk in the driving environment, to promote understanding of the principles of defensive driving and to develop a systematic approach to the hazards found in the driving environment.
On completion of a defensive driving course drivers will have an improved understanding of their vehicle, better concentration, enhanced all-round observation, earlier anticipation of potential hazards and the risk of being involved in an accident will be considerably reduced.
