Driver Training
Knockhill Racing Circuit is famous for its motorsport activities and it has also had a very successful On Road, Off Road and Skid Pan Driver training department for the past 10 years. As well as having highly trained A.D.I. driving instructors and first class vehicles, Knockhill operates Scotland's only purpose built skid pan.
Many companies use our unique driver training facilities as we can combine the on road training with our purpose built skid pan for skid training and our extensive off road facilities for off road and atv training.

SKID PAN & EMERGENCY AVOIDANCE LANE 4x4 OFF ROAD TRAINING All training courses receive a full report and assesment on each driver.
Front-wheel and rear-wheel skids, brake and avoid exercises. Simulated skids of up to 60mph are executed in the safe confines of the skid pan. Brake and avoid manouvres and ABS training on the emergency braking lane.
ON ROAD TRAINING
During our on road driving course, drivers will be taught to have an improved understanding of their vehicle, better concentration, enhanced all-round observation, earlier anticipation of potential hazards and the risk of being involved in an accident will be considerably reduced.
DRIVER ASSESSMENTS
Driving assessments take approximately one hour during which time the instructor will cover all aspects within the driver training course on an assessment basis only.
TRAILER TRAINING
Learn how to tow safely and effectively. Practice reversing, on road tuition, coupling, uncoupling, towing regulations & important safety checks. Approx 2.5 hrs.
Advanced off road training on our extensive 4x4 terrain using our Jeep 4x4's or your own vehicles.
Skid Pan, Trailer Training & 4x4 Training can be added on to on road training to create a course that suits you and your driving requirements.
