In addition to the Scottish Formula Ford, Legends, Mini Coopers,  Fiestas ST and Hot Hatches, Sports & Saloon and Classic Sports & Saloons Championships and the new Citroen C1 Series, this is a very special event named in tribute to the late, great David Leslie. The event will feature a celebration of 50 years of  Formula Ford racing in Scotland as racers duke it out to win the prestigous Formula Ford David Leslie Trophy.

Also on show this weekend, we welcome all 4 classes of British Superkarting; Division 1 Superkarts, Formula 250 National, Formula 450 National and Formula 125 Open which promise some of the fastest racing ever seen on track at Knockhill as well as the Global Lights visiting from Ireland.

Event Information

British Superkarting Returns To Knockhill

Division 1 Superkarts -
Twin cylinder 250cc engines with a six-speed gearbox. These awesome machines pump out around 100bhp and can reach speeds close to 150mph. Popular all around the world and have a minimum weight of 218kg

Formula 250 National - These engines are restricted to 250cc single cyclinder units and have a maximum of five gears which can produce between 65-70bhp. A strong class with a minimum weight of 208kg

Formula 450 National- Relatively new to the world of Superkarting and is the first 4-stroke class. A natural evolution with the world of MotoX moving to 4-stroke engines. These machines are making their own history as a seperate class alongside the 2 stroke counterparts.

Formula 125 Open - This class has grown in recent years and is now the biggest class on Long Circuit. Reliable race engines built to do the job and a great handling kart, making this the mose cost-effective class by far.
