Its the BIG ONE!! Renowned for providing more overtaking and action in one race than in a full season of Formula 1, the HiQ British Touring Car Championship can justifiably claim to be ‘right up there with the best’ when it comes to bringing the crowd to it’s toes with the on-track antics of these hard-charging drivers in cars which at least resemble the road-going versions of predominantly ‘sporty’ saloon cars.
Come and cheer on local hero Jonathan Adam in his Airwaves BMW as be battles against household names such as Jason Plato and Fabrizio Giovanardi. Who could forget Jonathan's amazing debut at Brands Hatch, taking on Plato at his own game going into Paddock Hill Bend, one of the most amazing bits for motorsport action ever!
With strong performances mixed with some real bad luck to date, Jonathan is lying 10th in the Championship but with him being totally dominant in his previous SEAT Cupra Cup races, his local knowledge should prove to be a great help. Come and cheer on Scotlands rising star.
The BTCC has packed grids of Hondas, BMWs, Vauxhalls, Chevrolets and others going door mirror-to-door mirror, hammer and tongs all racing along, this is racing with a capital ‘R’. Fans get 3 awesome Touring Car races, plus a top notch programme of British Championship status supporting events, including the stunning sight of the Porsche Carreras battling it out in the glitzy ‘Porsche Carrera Cup’ the Ginetta G50s and G20 Junior Championships – phew!!
Supporting the quality programme, our very own Scottish Legends and Formula Fords will have their chance to shine in front of the big guns, all hoping to catch the eye of the BTCC team bosses. Its their "Grand Prix" event of the year so come along and cheer on the local racers too as well as the pros!
