Q. How long is the Teen Drive Experience Gift Voucher Valid for?
A. Generally our gift vouchers are valid for 8 months if purchased in the months of January through to October and 12 months if purchased in November and December. We also have some special offers available for shorter validity gift vouchers. Please check the validity stated on your chosen Teen Drive Experience package.
Q. Must I use the Teen Drive Experience voucher before the expiry date?
A. Yes, although we will be happy to extend your voucher at a charge of £10 per month for a maximum of 6 months. After this time your voucher will be expired.
Q. How soon will I receive my voucher?
A. An e-voucher will be sent to you instantly on completion of your order! Our gift vouchers and gift boxes are posted out to you within 1 day using Royal Mail’s first class post service. For those really urgent postal orders you can select Next Day Delivery for an additional £5 fee.
Q. What does a Teen Drive Experience e-voucher look like?
A. Our e-vouchers are sent directly to your email address as a PDF attachment. This prints off easily on to A4 sized paper and shows lovely images and full experience details. It’s a super quick and easy way to order a gift voucher, simply purchase then print off and present! There is no charge for sending an e-voucher.
Q. What does a Gift Voucher look like?
A. Our printed gift vouchers look great! They are A4 sized and contain experience images and full details of your visit; there is a perforated section at the bottom with security foil and booking details. We will post this out to you with a glossy gift wallet and accompanying envelope. Our packaging is unbranded to keep the gift a secret until the big day. There is a charge of £1.50 for this service.
Q. What is included in the gift box?
A. If you choose to add a gift box to your order, we will enclose an A4 sized printed gift voucher in a metal presentation box alongside a quality branded ballpoint pen and Knockhill keyring. This is posted out to you in an unbranded protective cardboard wrapping just the right size to fit through your letterbox. It’s a lovely gift in itself and fun to wrap up and keep them guessing. There is a charge of £6.50 for this option including postage.
Q. Are the Teen Drive Experience gift vouchers refundable?
A. For your peace of mind you can return your voucher to us within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. All refunds will be made to the purchaser by the original payment method. After the 7 day period and before the expiry date you may transfer the voucher to an alternative driver, experience or product from the Knockhill range.
Q. What happens if I pick the wrong experience?
A. Our driving experience collection is completely flexible! If you have chosen the wrong experience, we will be happy to change this to any other experience within the same price range at no additional charge. You can also upgrade to another experience at any time.
Q. Do I have to arrange a date for the Teen Drive Experience?
A. No! A suitable date and time can be arranged with us anytime within the validity period.
Q. How do I arrange a date and time to take part?
A. You can contact us by telephone! We are available 7 days a week from 9am until 6pm (5pm at weekends). Alternatively you can book a date online; select ‘Redeem a Voucher’ and follow the on screen instructions; you will need your voucher reference number and the driver’s surname.
Q. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my Teen Drive Experience?
A. We are normally unaffected by the weather and experienced at operating within the Scottish climate. Your safety is our number one priority and should the weather become extreme and we feel it is not safe to drive; your experience may be withdrawn. If this happens we will make every effort to contact you before you make your journey to Knockhill, unfortunately for late cancellations this may not be possible. Your experience can be rearranged for another date suitable for you and we can grant you 3 additional months validity on your voucher if you need it!
Q. What if I need to cancel my chosen date?
A. We will be happy to accept one cancellation and rebooking at no extra charge; all we ask is that you give us 14 days’ notice. Any cancellations out with this period will be subject to an additional £20 cancellation fee. Non-attendance will incur a 50% additional rebooking charge.
Q. Will there be other people driving at the same time?
A. Yes, you will take part alongside other participants. There may be some reasonable waiting time involved and your briefing and debriefing will be held as part of a group! In our experience this makes for a fun visit with a little friendly competition.
Q. Can my family and friends come along to spectate?
A. Yes, the more the merrier! All our experiences are great fun for spectators too. Friends and family are welcome to cheer you on. The Champions Clubhouse or Kinnairds Restaurant will be open for hot and cold food, snacks and drinks. We do ask that you leave your dogs at home as they are not permitted within the venue.
Q. How early should I arrive for my Teen Drive Experience?
A. Please arrive at least 20mins before your allocated briefing time. You should report to the registration area located within the Champions Clubhouse.
Q. Is there a height restriction?
A. There are no set restrictions for the Teen Drive Experience. To safely operate the vehicle, all drivers must be able to reach and press the foot pedals to the floor in a normal road car.
Q. What sort of clothes and footwear is best?
A. Dress for comfort and outdoors. We suggest Jeans and trainers or anything that you are comfortable driving in. High heels, sandals and flip flops are best avoided.
Q. What happens if I crash?
A. We take your safety and the safety of our staff and our other customers very seriously at Knockhill; if you follow the directions and guidance of our instructors and experience team this is highly unlikely. However, motorsport is dangerous and should any accidents happen, all vehicles are the responsibility of Knockhill Racing Circuit Ltd and you will not be liable for damage to them. Our operations team are all highly trained in emergency first aid for your safety and peace of mind. We also hold public liability insurance to the value of £10, 000,000.
Q. Are there any other Charges or fees?
A. In a word NO! There are no hidden charges with our experiences. We don’t ask you to sign up for expensive liability waivers or cancellation insurances. The price we charge offers you a full experience with first class facilities, with expert instruction.
