BRSCC Caterham Racing Festival

Superb and highly entertaining BRSCC Caterham Championship racing comes back to Knockhill following a 2-year gap over the weekend of 20-21 June. The last time a number of Caterham Championships visited Knockhill it brought with it over 120 competitors and supplied fast, close thrilling action the likes of which all motorsport fans love – especially around the twists and dips of Knockhill which are ideally suited to these lightweight racers. This year, an anticipated 160 competitors will make the journey north to Scotland for the first Caterham-only event to be held at Knockhill.

Event Information

For 2020, the BRSCC will bring five Championships to Knockhill and their Caterham Academy Championship that features complete novices taking their first formative steps into the world of car racing – it’s a level playing field for all with similar machinery and sealed 1.6 Ford Sigma TiVCT engines throughout the grid. It’s a fantastic introductory series for the budding stars of the future.

However, topping the bill will be the fearsome Caterham Seven 420R Championship which features vehicles with highly powered 2 litre Ford Duratec engines and an equally impressive driver line up - with several Championship winners amongst the front-running contenders. Sparks will fly and if truth be told... so will the Caterhams, literally!

In a slight change from the normal ‘event’ proceedings at Knockhill, this event will mainly take place on Saturday 20th June, followed by a half day of racing on Sunday (concluding around lunch time). On Saturday 20th, all classes will be qualifying and racing from the afternoon onwards. Sunday will be racing all the way from early in the morning. The tickets for this event are a set price that will allow access to both days.

Please note, that Saturday is the main event day of the BRSCC Caterham Race Weekend.

The unusual feature of this event is that the main event day is the Saturday! On the 20th, all classes will be qualifying and racing in the afternoon. Then on Sunday 21st, the racing will continue in the morning and is timed to finish around lunch time.
