MSN Circuit Rally Championship - Knockhill Stages

Knockhill is delighted to be hosting the return of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship,  with its return North of the Border. A capacity entry of top calibre cars is expected to tackle the tarmac rally stages, all based at Knockhill. This 1 day event will bring the best of rally action to you as the cars set off at 30-second intervals over stages that are as much as 5 miles long.  If you enjoyed the Grant Construction Rally in February then this event is for you as it takes things up to a National status as other rounds take place at the likes of Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park.

Ticket Types

Adult - Over 16 yrs
Concession - 12 to 16 yrs, OAP, Disabled, Student (with photo ID)
Family - 2 Adults + 2 Concession (not required if children are under 12 yrs)

Kids under 12 do not require a ticket, they are FREE.

Event Information

The range of cars expected will include the original Austin Mini Cooper S to the modern World Rally Championship specials such as the Subaru Impreza and a legion of iconic 1970s Ford Escorts, the MSN Rally Championship is open to any number of rally-prepared cars.

Split into classes based on their engine capacity, the cars will be required to pass scrutineering checks at each round of the Championship and comply with the rules set out within the 2017 MSA Blue Book.

Class A: up to & including 1400cc

Class B: 1401 – 1600cc

Class C: 1601 2000cc

Class D1: 2001cc and over 2WD

Class D2: 2001cc and over 4WD

MSN Circuit Rally - Season Launched at Oulton Park

There was a buzz of excitement on Wednesday 26th September as Oulton Park saw the launch of the 2018/19 MSN Circuit Rally Championship in association with MSVR Racing which returns to Knockhill in December. The championship takes part over 8 rounds throughout the UK and consists of multiple classes taking part in a mixed tarmac/off-road challenge of both driver and machine. From the original Austin Mini Cooper S to the modern World Rally Championship specials such as the Subaru Impreza and a legion of iconic 1970s Ford Escorts, the MSN Circuit Rally Championship in association with MSVR Racing is open to any number of rally-prepared cars. Knockhill plays host to round 3 of the championship on Sunday December 9th  with a host of new additions to the competition including the MX5 Class, Protyre Challenge and Michelin Cup all adding to the mix this season. A prize package of up to £10,000 has been announced with prizes ranging from trophies and glass awards to MSV Test Days and Season Passes and Motorsport News subscription packages. Each event will consist of several stages giving the competitor approx. 50 stage miles. The stages will take in various obstacles such as a water splashes, jumps, crests, dips and the traditional hand brake turn. Tickets are available at

Spectator Shelters

Spectator Shelters

Just in-case the glorious sunshine abates for a while, you'll be able to take cover in our recently installed shelters at Duffus Dip and Scotsman corners, adding to the existing Clark and Hairpin shelters. Hopefully, these will only be used to shelter you from the blistering sunshine come race day.

How to get here

Knockhill Racing Circuit is located on the A823, for SATNAV our postcode is KY12 9TF

If travelling from East/South, head to Junction 4, M90 Kelty.

If travelling from West, please head over the new Clackmannan Bridge and head on the A977 and turn tight at Powmill.

If heading from the North, motorway signs will say exit Junction 6, you can also head to Junction 4 as an alternative route.

All routes have Tourist Board direction signage.

The drop off area for taxi's etc. will be at the main gate.


All parking is on site, you can drive all around the outside of the circuit to view from your preferred area.

Disabled Parking

For disabled spectators you can drive around the outside of the circuit and also in the disabled parking area overlooking the hairpin.

The weather

Always a topical subject at Knockhill, quite simply, come prepared for all weathers. We would say the same if the forecast was for blistering sunshine.

Drones: Due to CAA safety regulations the flying and use of drones are strictly forbidden at Knockhill Racing Circuit .

General Information

  • Knockhill FM broadcasts on 87.7FM and will be on-air all weekend.
  • If you wish to Text the Tower for a shout out, you can do so via 07941 808552.
  • No Pets or Animals will be allowed entry to the venue, please ensure you leave them at home and not left in the car.
  • The circuit office will be open from 7.30am to 5pm if you need any help or assistance, you can pop in or call on 01383 723337.
  • Official Knockhill Merchandise is available at the circuit office.
  • Mobile Food Outlets are located throughout the venue as well as our onsite restaurants, Champions Clubhouse and Kinnaird's restaurant.
  • Karting - pre-booking is advised as 'arrive and drive' is not always available.
