Event Information

Fast Family Fun Features!

Hot Hatch Track Sessions

On the track, the main action is a Hot Hatch Track day. These sessions will give you the chance for drivers to get on the famous Knockhill tarmac behind the wheel of their own car. If you’ve never done a track day before, worry not; we’ll give you a full safety briefing before venturing out on track. This ensures you are perfectly equipped to tackle the twists and dips of Knockhill and provides action all day long.

Easter Egg Family Day

This is a true family event! In addition to watching the track day action from 9 am to 5 pm, off track there will be a whole host of fun activities organised throughout the day, allowing families to enjoy this experience together.  The following will be organised to make it an Easter event to remember;

Free Activities:

  • Bring your painted boiled eggs and roll them down the famous Duffus Dip during the lunch break.
  • A fun treasure hunt will take place on site with great prizes to be won for karting experiences and tickets for future events
  • Cammy’s Magic shows will be running all day long with unique magical tricks that will astound youngsters and adults alike.
  • We’ll also have a special visit from life-size Paw Patrol characters for the children to meet. The unofficial Paw Patrol characters will be here as part of our Easter Hot Hatch Trackday which will take place at Knockhill on Sunday 2nd April. The Paw Patrol characters will be here for around 4 hours wandering around the venue for photo opportunities and meet-and-greets with the kids attending the event (from 10.30am).
  • Knockhill also has it’s own play park and children are welcome to use the slides and swings.
  • There will also be the opportunity for you and the rest of your family to participate in some Highland Games activities.
  • We’ll have a Junior Motorsport display where interested parties can find out how to become involved in junior motor racing.

Chargeable activities:

  • Sample our fleet of Adult and Cadet Karts on our 500 metre outdoor track for just £10 for 10 mins. Suitable for kids aged 8 and upwards (subject to track availability).
  • Our Teen Drive taster sessions will allow budding young drivers – aged 13 to 16 – the chance to get behind the wheel accompanied by a fully qualified instructor for an introductory driving session (from £10).
  • We’ll have a number of bouncy castles for the kids to jump around on. We’ll also have a face-painter on site. Fees will apply.

Important - All Kids under 12 go FREE of charge to the event.

Drift Demonstration (lunch break)

At our Hot Hatch days, we regularly host Scottish Drifting Championship demos around the Knockhill Taylors Hairpin. Prepare to be wowed by some of Scotland’s most talented drifting drivers as they show off their sideways style and plumes of tyre smoke! This demo will act as a promo to our drifting spectacular on the 4th November 2017 – click HERE to find out more!

Who are Hot Hatch Track Days for?

Our Hot Hatch events offer a controlled environment to test the full capabilities of your own car, away from the public highway. Head out onto the famous Knockhill track and participate in one of our track day sessions (road and track cars eligible). First timers are welcome as a full safety briefing is given. It is always cheaper to pre-book, whether you want to go on track or spectate, then pre-book and save money.

Why would l want to attend?

This is our first ever family themed Hot Hatch event, timed for the start of the Easter Holidays. If you are into motorsport, racing or tuning then our Hot Hatch Track Days offer the ideal environment to connect with like-minded people, whether that’s on track or simply in the paddock. This is our Family themed one, so it will make a great family day out with a difference.

What if I fancy having a go on track?

Great, we are always open to newcomers, and you’ll receive a full safety briefing before heading out on track. There are also a number of rules and flag signals you’ll need to be aware of, but we’ll give you this information on the day. Track Day sessions can be booked via our Track Day Website ( or you can simply turn up on the day and ask to head on out (subject to availability – it’s always wiser to pre-book and it is cheaper too).
