Hot Hatch Track Sessions

On the day we will be running a number of Hot Hatch Track day sessions. These sessions will give you the chance to get on the Knockhill tarmac behind the wheel of your own car. If you’ve never done a track day before, worry not; we’ll give you a full safety briefing before venturing out on track. This ensures you are perfectly equipped to tackle the twists and dips of Knockhill, normally reserved for some of Scotland’s and the UK’s top racing championships.

Drag Competition

We’ll be hosting a 16 strong Drag Racing competition, up the main Knockhill straight, with the eventual winner taking away bragging rights. We have pulled together the fastest and most powerful street cars in Scotland for this Knock-out style competition. There’s no room for error when your ego’s at stake!

 Drift Demonstration

At our Hot Hatch days, we regularly host Scottish Drifting Championship demos around the Knockhill Hairpin. Prepare to be wowed by some of Scotland’s most talented drifting drivers as they show off their sideways style and plumes of tyre smoke! This demo will act as a promo to our drifting spectacular on the 4th November 2017 – click HERE to find out more!

Who are Hot Hatch Days for?

Our Hot Hatch events offer a safe and controlled environment to test the full capabilities of your own car, away from the public highway. Head out onto the famous Knockhill track and participate in one of our trackday sessions (road and track cars eligible). Alternatively, the day also offers car enthusiasts and clubs, a location to meet and spend some time with their members/friends; whilst also watching or participating on track.

When are the Hot Hatches held?

Our Hot Hatch Sessions take place throughout the year (mostly Sundays). Traditionally, our Hot Hatch events take place once per month - during the off-season and every 6-8 weeks during the season.

Where do these events take place?

All Hot Hatch Trackdays take place at Knockhill Racing Circuit. We also have a number of Car Show events where you can participate by showing your vehicle/club, particularly at our themed Ford and Japanese days. There are also a number of other Trackday and Driving Experience options if you fancy heading out on track.

Why would l want to attend?

If you are into motorsport, racing or tuning then our Hot Hatch Trackdays offer the ideal environment to connect with like-minded people, whether that’s on track or simply in the paddock.  Our Knockhill FM Radio station broadcasts throughout the event and you can also participate in our FREE to enter Drift and Drag racing lunchtime competitions. There’s always plenty to see on the track, with upwards of 30 cars participating on track at any given time.

What if I fancy having a go on track?

Great, we are always open to newcomers, and you’ll receive a full safety briefing before heading out on track. There are also a number of rules and flag signals you’ll need to be aware of, but we’ll give you this information on the day. Trackday sessions can be booked via our Trackday Website ( or you can simply turn up on the day and ask to head on out (subject to availability – it’s always wiser to pre-book).
