Event Information

The event will see the return of the ever-popular Super Touring Cars as part of the reshaped HSCC Dunlop Saloon Car Cup. The newly reshaped championship now brings the best touring car action from across the eras – regulations now permit Group 1, Group 2, Group A, Super Touring and FIA S2000 spec cars to enter.  It is anticipated that we will see, and hear everything from the iconic RS500s, BMW M3s etc, all the way up the awesome Super Tourers which should provide additional competition and larger gird for their visit to Knockhill.

Further boosting the saloon car racing element of this event, we’ll also be welcoming the Modified Ford Series featuring a whole raft of Ford machinery built over the past 50 years. Expect to see some iconic Ford models on track with the likes of Cosworths, Capris and MK1 & 2 Escorts all out in track racing nose-to-tail. This will be the first time this series has come to Scotland and we’re very much looking forward to seeing all these modified Fords out on track.

Aside from the visiting content, we’ll also have the Super Lap Scotland (Saturday only) and SMRC (Scottish Motor Racing Club) racing on the same bill for the first time ever – further solidifying the saloon car racing element of this event.

What’s On:

  • HSCC Dunlop Saloon Car Cup (racing both days)
  • Modified Ford Series (racing both days)
  • Super Lap Scotland (Saturday only)
  • BMW Compact Cup and Super Lap Race Series (Sunday only)
  • And a full SMRC programme (Sunday only)

Two days of non-stop racing action from a wealth of saloon car championships that will have fans on the edge of their seats throughout the event.

Who is this event for?

This event is for race fans who love saloon car racing. The ever-popular Super Tourers will be back on track ably supported by a host of racing championships from north and south of the border. The event will take place over two days with a full-on timetable of racing set to take place over the weekend of 4/5 July.

Why attend this event?

The Saloon Car Festival will showcase the best of Scottish motorsport alongside some great visiting content. It’s always great to welcome any kind of Touring Car racing to Knockhill and the return of the expanded HSCC Dunlop Saloon Car Cup will surely attract some iconic machinery from yesteryear.
