Round Two of the Scottish Championship Car Racing organised by the SMRC, has a superb range of racing classes, a super-slick racing format with around 18 races to entertain you during an action-packed afternoon. Battles will already have started across all the grids of Scottish Formula Fords, Legends, Mini Coopers, BMW Compacts, Fiestas, Sports & Saloon and Classic Sports & Saloon Championships.
As jam-packed racing programme will keep you enthralled and off track we will have our first ever Mini Show featuring Mini Car Clubs for both old and new Mini variations. If you have a Mini or love this iconic car, then this is an extra special day with show Mini’s and racing Minis! The Knockhill track provides the perfect platform for open, exciting and wheel-to-wheel racing – which is always spectacular across all classes!

Round Two of the SMRC racing will again provide more spectacular action from the Scottish Championship classes. We are sure to see some exciting racing as competitors start to find their feet, in only their second outing of the season, in their respective championships. Qualifying and practice commences around 8.30am, with racing action from around 11 am with 18 races scheduled to conclude around 5.30pm.
On the day our expert commentary team will provide up to the minute live race commentary, pit-lane scoops and behind the scenes interviews and discussions. And, our interactive Text the Tower and Twitter commentary will provide an additional platform to engage with the event. The open and accessible paddock allows you to get up close to the same machines, and drivers, you’ll see whizz past on track, at speeds in excess of 130mph.

What is the SMRC?
The Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) is Scotland’s premier car racing club and features members from up and down the country, competing on track for Scottish Championship titles. The Club organises and administers a series of events each year, with points scored at each round determining the overall Scottish Champions for each class.
When do the events take place?
SMRC events take place throughout the year at Knockhill Racing Circuit. The SMRC also takes some of its member classes to other UK circuits throughout the year. At Knockhill, the SMRC hosts seven individual events that take place once a month (from April to October), with the series reaching a dramatic climax at the final event of the year (October).
Why attend this event?
The SMRC race days feature a full day-long programme of racing with up to 18 races competing on track in one day. The SMRC is made up of seven main Championship classes – with subclasses within each main class. On any given SMRC race day you’ll see competing races for the following Championships:
How to book?
Tickets for all seven SMRC meetings held at Knockhill this year are available via the KNOCKHILL website. Knockhill Racing Circuit administers, dispatches and manages all ticket requests for the events. Booking online saves money with all advanced tickets enjoy pre-booking discounts. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone (01383 723337) or purchased at the gate on the day of the event (subject to on the day pricing).

How to get here
Knockhill Racing Circuit is located on the A823, for SATNAV our postcode is KY12 9TF
If travelling from East/South, head to Junction 4, M90 Kelty.
If travelling from West, please head over the new Clackmannan Bridge and head on the A977 and turn tight at Powmill.
If heading from the North, motorway signs will say exit Junction 6, you can also head to Junction 4 as an alternative route.
All routes have Tourist Board direction signage.
The drop off area for taxi's etc. will be at the main gate.
Parking
All parking is on site, you can drive all around the outside of the circuit to view from your preferred area.
Disabled Parking
For disabled spectators you can drive around the outside of the circuit and also in the disabled parking area overlooking the hairpin.
The weather
Always a topical subject at Knockhill, quite simply, come prepared for all weathers. We would say the same if the forecast was for blistering sunshine.
Drones: Due to CAA safety regulations the flying and use of drones are strictly forbidden at Knockhill Racing Circuit .
