Super Lap Scotland & Mod Sports (Rd2/3)

Saturday 22nd - Sunday 23rd August, 2020

Please Note: This event will take place behind closed doors - no spectator admission will be allowed at this event. We are awaiting further clarification from the Scottish Government surrounding the remaining fixtures of 2020. Hopefully we'll have this info very soon.

Our Super Lap Scotland, BMW Compact Cup and Mod Sports racers rock up for Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2020 season over the weekend of 22/23 August. Back for some super-fast action on both the Knockhill track layouts - Saturday (Anti-clockwise) and Sunday (Clockwise). However, this time around they won’t be alone, we’ve got some visting rounds from the Northern Saloon and Sports Car Championship and the Junior Saloon Car Championship - bringing even more super-charged racing to an already jam-packed day of racing at Knockhill.

Event Information

Most likely one of the fastest weekends on the Knockhll calendar as we welcome two competing Championships from South of the border. Joining our regular SLS competitors who will be looking for those class wins during rounds 2 and 3 of their Championship.

Mod Sports, BMW Compact Cup, Nothern Saloons and Sports Car and Junior Saloon Car Championship action will add a touch of traditional racing to this event with up to six races taking place each day. Both the Knockhill track layouts will be used over the course of the weekend giving drivers not one, but two tracks to test their metal over during two days of full-on action. SLS competitors will strive for the fastest laps times of the day, whilst the saloon and sports car drivers battle it out on track for those coveted race wins and podium postions.

  • SLS Championship - Round 2 and 3 of the six round Championship featuring some of the fastest modified cars in Scotland, battling to put their hands on the 2020 title
  • Super Lap Race Series - The pinnacle of the day, an all-or-nothing race open to all classes – a great introductory race series for competitors to gather race experience in their SLS vehicles.
  • Scottish BMW Compact Cup – This single make series returns to Knockhill for 2020 and will support all Super Lap Scotland events.
  • ModSports Series - New for 2020 - This race series will see a vast array of super-charged sports and saloon cars racing head-to-head for those vital 1-2-3 podium positions.
  • Northern Saloon and Sports Car Championship - similar to our Mod Sports series, the NSSCC provides a racing platform for members of the Darlington and District Motor Club to go sports car racing. Multiple classes, varying specs and speeds of machinery... and highly entretaining action.
  • Junior Saloon Car Championship - Provides the opportunity for young racers (14-17 years) to get behind the wheel a hatchback and compete on national circuits across the UK. Some former BTCC stars have came through this series and a number of current BTCC teams run cars in this Championship.
