Rangers have called up World Series by Renault driver James Walker to replace Wishaw’s Ryan Dalziel for the latest round of the Superleague Formula at the Nurburgring next weekend (Sept 20-21). The 26-year-old Scot has an existing Grand-Am commitment in the US.
“My first impressions of the Superleague Formula car were really good,” 25-year-old Walker, who already has some experience of 750bhp machines, having shaken down the Liverpool FC car prior to the opening race at Donington, said.
“When I tested for Liverpool, I was really happy with the car even though I only did about 25 laps on old tyres. It has a lot of power and it looked and felt fantastic. I can’t wait for the opportunity to try the car on fresh tyres and represent Rangers next week.”
