Knockhill echoes to the sound of pounding trainers!

A very different sound was heard at Knockhill last night (August 31st) compared to the high revving British Touring Cars or Porsche Cup competitors engines that will be heard this coming weekend. 494 running trainers pounding the challenging 1.3 mile circuit, and puffing and panting was heard, as 247 runners took part in the 7th running of the Graham Clark Memorial Race.

Knockhill Events Director Stuart Gray and Media /Experience Sales Tracey Joesbury were the game participants from the Knockhill team,  and rose to the challenge of some harden runners from the Carnegie Harriers and numerous other running clubs throughout central Scotland. With a stunning sunset to run into, times of 35 and 38 minutes were recorded by the Knockhill duo, with the winners times of 19 minutes and 22 minutes for the male and female competitors for the 3 lap race.

“With so much planning and work done, and being done, for this weekends only Scottish round of the BTCC, it was fun to take time out to run the Graham Clark race. It also gave me a chance to see what a fantastic job Circuit Manager Ian Forrest and his able team have done in preparing the venue for the weekend” said Stuart
