Godfrey seals Rallycross Supercar win

The Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship rolled into Knockhill today (Sunday 18th September) and proceeded to provide some entertaining rally-racing action. In changeable weather conditions over 70 competitors took to the Knockhill rallycross circuit, a track that combines both the main circuit and the off-road section that splits the middle of the venue.

“The Rallycross Championship has provided some excellent entertainment today.

“The Championship has a great blend of classes, racing machinery and the short races do create some exhilarating action,” said Knockhill Events Director Stuart Gray.

The Championship ran in excess of 40 races today which saw some racing victories for Richard Wakeling (Minicross), Aidan Hills (Jnr Swift), Ollie O’Donovan (RX150) and Michael Boak (Supernational).

In the Supercar class, Julian Godrey brought his Ford Fiesta VI home in first position ahead of Binks and Proctor. Godfrey now takes a slender lead at the top of the standings into the final round of the Championship at Croft Circuit in November.

The next action at Knockhill comes in the shape of the Knockhill Motor Sports Club bike racing series. Several championships will reach their conclusions on Sunday 25th September. Tickets for this event are available now via the Knockhill events section. It promises to be a superb finale to our first ever Knockhill Motor Sports Club season.
