Elsewhere, Scottish sportscar racer Marino Franchitti will line up 8th on the grid for the opening Ginetta GT Supercup race later this afternoon.

“It’s great being back, the car is more capable than me at the moment, it’s been a baptism of fire that is for sure. But that said, l’m loving being back at Knockhill and back racing in front of the Scottish fans. I’m still learning the Circuit and the car, but there is definitely more to come,” said Franchitti.

Also this afternoon we will have 3 other races to complement the Ginetta GT Supercup. First up we have a 15 lap race for the Scottish Sports and Saloons, followed by the Ginetta and Celtic Speed Mini Cooper Cup races. Completing today’s programme will be the Ginetta Junior Championship with a 15 lap race.
