Ebay Motors driver Rob Collard looks to be in good shape heading into Dunlop MSA British Touring Car qualifying later this afternoon, after topping the time sheets in free practice two. Collard managed to pip Gordon Shedden to the top spot with a time of 52.910 seconds. Shedden couldn’t quite improve his time form earlier posting a best time of 53.092 seconds, with an average lap speed of 86.20 mph.
Third on the times was Inverness based, Dave Newsham with his Team ES Racing Vauxhall Vectra. Newsham will be delighted to continue his fine form , from Snetterton, after he took his maiden BTCC win there at the previous round.
BTCC qualifying gets underway at 3.05pm this afternoon, there is still plenty of time to get to Knockhill to catch some of the action. We’ll also have four races to keep you entertained all the way through to 6pm from 3.50pm onwards:
The Michelin GT Supercup, Scottish Classic Sports & Saloons, Ginetta Junior Championship, and of course, the Celtic Speed Mini Cooper Cup starring BTCC presenter, Louise Goodman.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate throughout this weekend. Advanced tickets for Sunday’s raceday will be available until midnight this evening with a box office collection service in operation.
