Fifer, Gordon Shedden set the ball rolling on his return to Knockhill by setting the fastest time in free practice one. Shedden had been close to the top of the timesheets for almost all of the session, before Tom Onlsow-Cole stormed to the top of the times after some nimble work from his pit crew.
A content Shedden said:
“The car feels good and we ended up quickest in that session, there are however improvements to be made. We’ll go away and have a think and then come back and hopefully go faster in FP2.”
The top three drivers in the session were Shedden, Onslow-Cole and Collard. Speedworks Motorsport will be delighted by the start that Paul O’Neill has made to his weekend, finishing in 4th. O’Neill, interviewed mid-session by Alan Hyde commented:
“We’ve got a good car you know, l’m really excited now.”
Free practice 2 takes place at 12.10pm before BTCC qualifying starts at 15.05pm this afternoon.
