Race against the clock to get Aiden on track tomorrow

16 year old Aiden Moffat officially became the youngest ever BTCC driver today when he made his first appearance in the series at Knockhill. Unfortunately Aiden’s day didn’t go according to plan and his car suffered from engine problems after completing just 15 laps in first practice this morning, forcing him to miss out on the second practice session and qualifying.

Key engine parts are now being transported up from England and it will be a race against time to get the car rebuilt for Aiden’s BTCC racing debut tomorrow. In spite of only completing 15 laps in the car, Aiden did an impressive job and will be allowed to start from the back of the grid, assuming his team can complete the repars in time. He will no doubt still relish the experience and the challenge of trying to fight his way through the field.
