Queen’s Baton Relay to do a Superbike lap of Knockhill. 7.30am Thursday 26th June

Fancy witnessing a piece of Commonwealth, Scottish and Knockhill history, all rolled into one? Well the Queen’s Baton Relay is coming to Knockhill this Thursday (26th) and the Baton is getting a lap of the Circuit on the back of a Superbike! Jillian Shedden, the Knockhill MD is a pillion passenger as she acts at the Baton Bearer on a Superbike ridden by her father Derek Butcher. The pairing will be accompanied by 4 bikes, one from each of the decades of Knockhill, as we are celebrating our 40th year. Stuart Easton will also be on hand to witness this historic and symbolic lap of the Circuit

Now here’s the snag, its on track at around 7.30am as the QBR arrives at 7.20am at Knockhill and must leave by 7.50am en route around Fife. If you live local, or are commuting to Edinburgh or Perth, why not drop in for around 7.15am to see the convoy arrive, then witness this unique parade around the circuit. Its free and what a fantastic, high profile and prestigious way to kick off our Homecoming Scotland 2014 / Knockhill 40th Anniversary Superbike weekend.
