Scotland’s top car racers head back to Knockhill this weekend (Sunday 19th July) for the latest thrilling instalment of the Scottish Championship Car Racing series (SMRC). As well as qualifying sessions from early doors on Sunday morning, fans are set to enjoy a bumper 18-race programme featuring seven of Scotland’s most popular Championships, from 10am until 6pm.
Participating Championships on the day will include:-
Scottish Legends Championship (4 races)
Scottish BMW Compact Cup (3 races)
Scottish Formula Ford Championship (2 races)
Celtic Speed Mini Cooper Cup (3 races)
Scottish Saloons and Sports Car Championship (2 races)
Scottish Classic Championship (2 races)
Scottish Fiesta Championship (2 races)
SMRC race days are great value for money with 8 hours or fast and furious action that will keep you and your family/friends and relatives enthralled from start to finish. You’ll see upwards of 130 vehicles participate on track throughout the day. The open and accessible paddock allows you to get up close to the same machines, and drivers, you’ll see whizz past on track, at speeds in excess of 120mph.
Tickets for the event can be booked online, subject to advanced booking discounts. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased on the day at the following rates:
Adult £13, Conc. £8, Family £34; with kids under 12 going free. Pre-booking saves money, and tickets can be booked online until midnight on Saturday at the advanced price (in this instance tickets will be held at the circuit for collection on the day).
