Home success for Michael Robertson

Danderhall’s Michael Robertson claimed a welcome home-podium in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship race by finishing in 2nd place behind eventual race winner, and Championship leader, Josh Elliot.

It’s a cracking haul of points for the former Scottish Superbike and Superstock 600 Champion. Tyco BMW’s Alistair Seeley had made the early running before crashing out; Luke Quigley suffered the same fate towards the end of the race. Robertson ran a solid race, but just could reel in Elliot at the front, crossing the line 6 seconds behind the Morello Racing man.

“He’s been a nightmare this week. But we’ll have a bit of a celebration later on,” commeneted Robertson’s Girlfriend on BSB Radio.

Robertson’s achievements are even more impressive when you consider that he funds most of his racing himself.
