Well, today we are delighted to announce that we’ve done just that. You can now sample Honda’s first turbocharged Type R around the unique twists and dips of Knockhill in our exclusive Type R performance-driving course.
Put simply, the Type R philosophy has always been to create a car that can perform on the road and on track. Sporting a whopping 306bhp and a 2 litre VTEC Turbo engine that goes from 0-60 in 5.7 secs; allied to unquestionable Type R DNA and a top speed of 167mph means the only true environment to sample this ‘best in class’ Hot Hatch is on the track, at Knockhill Racing Circuit.
Our Type R Performance Driving Course will see you teamed up with a top ARDS qualified instructor who will take you for a few demonstration laps to show you the capabilities of the Honda Civic Type R. From there, you’ll then jump in the driver’s seat and enjoy three instructor-led 5-lap sessions on track; with our instructor steadily helping to build your confidence, performance and speed around the 1.27 mile championship track. By the time your third and final session is underway, you’ll be lapping the track like a pro.
On completion of your experience you’ll receive further feedback, a debrief and a certificate of completion.
