Isle of Man TT star set for Knockhill BSB Superstock 1000 Challenge

Following on from the Isle of Man TT where Ian Hutchinson won his 14th TT title; the Bingley Bullet and man-of-the-moment switches back to short-circuit racing for a Pirelli National Superstock 1000 outing at Knockhill next weekend (24/25/26 June).

2016 BSB, BSB R01, Silverstone, Northampton, UK.

Ian “Hutchy” Hutchinson scored his 3rd TT win this year to join the late, great Mike Hailwood on 14 career Isle of Man TT victories at this year’s record-breaking Isle of Man TT. Hutchinson’s 17 second win over main rival Michael Dunlop (in the 2nd Supersport race) cemented his place in the record books and secured an overall 2016 TT Championship points win. Dunlop himself, who was second on the MD Racing Yamaha was also on scintillating form as he took the Senior TT race with an average speed of 134mph to set a new outright race record at the TT.

Speaking after his victory, Hutchinson – who has battled back to the top of the sport following an horrific crash as recently featured in a TV documentary said: “It’s astonishing that I’m now being mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Mike Hailwood. It’s touching.”

You can see Hutchy on track on all three days of our MCE British Superbike Championship event with Free Practice and Qualifying on Friday 24th, Qualifying 2 on Saturday and the main race day on Sunday 26th June.
