Knockhill supports Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance

For the second year in a row, Knockhill are delighted to be adopting Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) as our nominated charity that we support. When buying tickets for any of our events, customers will have the option of being redirected to the SCAA Just Giving page to contribute £2 or any amount they choose to. The SCAA was formed in 2012 and launched their helicopter air ambulance in May 2013 to assist the Scottish Air Ambulance Service (SAAS) to deliver front-line care to time-critical emergencies across Scotland. SCAA provides a fully equipped medical helicopter that can be deployed from its central base at Perth Airport to incidents across the length and breadth of Scotland. The SCAA is not supported by any statutory funding and the service is funded solely by donations from private individuals, companies and community trusts.

Stuart Gray, right, Director of Events for Knockhill said, “We are delighted to be supporting the SCAA again. The new addition for customers to choose to opt in and make a donation direct to the SCAA will hopefully raise much needed funds. Members of the SCAA will also be on site at our major events too and collecting funds in the more traditional way, but by linking with the SCAA, we hope to raise both funds and awareness for them”.

David Craig, left, Chief Executive commented “We are delighted that Knockhill continue to support and promote the work of SCAA. We have already benefited from previous race days, collections and raffles prizes for our events as well as the opportunity to highlight our work in their brochure. Knockhill is a well-known brand in Scotland with thousands of people visiting the track every year and we hope those people that attend events become more aware of our work through this initiative.”
