BTCC Countdown begins in earnest

With only six days to go until our Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship Lokring Northern (UK) sponsored raceday, the preparations and travels have already begun for a number of the support/BTCC teams. Indeed, this week at Knockhill will see support car testing all week long.

Today we have a number of Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship competitors on track, with a number of notable driver coaches aiding the youngsters in the attempts to subdue the tricky twists and turns of Knockhill – including BTCC ace Tom Ingram, British GT and former BTCC regular Tom Onslow Cole and British F4 race-winner Sennan Fielding.

Multiple World Touring Car Champion, Andy Priaulx has already parked up his van for the week as his young son Seb, along with his JHR Developments teammates – Seb Perez, Geri Nicosia and others, acclimatise themselves to their latest surroundings for the week. On Tuesday, we’ll see some of the Porsche Carrera Cup cars on track as they too, try to master the undulating 1.27 miles of Knockhill ahead of their own race weekend that will consist of two 32 lap races around Knockhill’s notoriously technical track.
