Knockhill next for SsangYong Musso Pick-up Racing Challenge

Knockhill in Scotland is the next destination for the SsangYong Racing Challenge (8/9 July) as the action for the Musso Pick-up resumes with a double-header for the third of six events in 2017.

It will be the first visit to the Scottish track for the Pick-up and the drivers aiming to be at the very front of the action will be local driver Lewis Grant and British F4 ace Harry Webb who are both tied at two wins apiece as we head to the halfway point of the season.

Hot on their heels though is Northamptonshire based single seater racer Michael O’Brien. He took the top step of the podium in the final race last time out at Silverstone and will be looking for more of the same at Knockhill.

The Fife circuit has traditionally been used as a clockwise circuit. However, in 2012 Knockhill re-introduced racing, track days and experiences in the anti-clockwise direction, so the SYRC contenders will face a new challenge by racing in both directions around the Scottish circuit and with limited track time ahead of the event there is sure to be some superb action.

After qualifying on Saturday (8 July) at 10.30am, race 1 of the SsangYong Racing Challenge will start at 16.00pm on Saturday. Race 2 will start at 16.00pm on Sunday (9 July).

The SsangYong Challenge racers will join a bumper weekend of action at Knockhill that will also see, Rounds 2/3 of Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink, MG Trophy racing and Northern Saloons and Sports Car Championship racing around the tight twists and dips of Knockhill. Additionally, on Sunday 9th, we’ll also host a Subaru Vs Mitsubishi show car face-off in paddock two – with special exhibits, parades and demonstrations all part of the proposed timetable.
