On the eve of Rounds 2 and 3 of SLS this weekend, we’ve got some highlights of the Rockstar Energy Chase Series from Round 1. This was for most, their first foray into the world of car racing and if truth be told, they put on a great show.
The Chase Series is open to any competing Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink series competitor. The race format is broken into two elements – a straight race from start to finish for a traditional 1-2-3 across the line. But, more importantly – keeping with the spirit of SLS – each class has an aggregated race time and the closer a competitor from each of the seven classes can reach, eclipse or get closest to that time wins the race. So, much like the King of the Hill Championship at Knockhill, any competitor could win the Chase Series race as it’s all based on individual performance against the clock.
