Super Lap Scotland Round 1 Summary (A,B,Pro) – April 2018

Round 1 summary of the 2018 Super Lap Scotland Championship powered by Rockstar Energy Drink; this time concentrating our attention on the Pro, A and B Classes.

Class B, sees a few newcomers enter the fold and former champion Keith Cowie moves up to join the likes of Fiona Kindness and Andy Clotworthy. And, after all was said and done, it was Cowie who took the win ahead of the aforementioned Kindness, with Michael Rigby (another newcomer) taking third place.

In Class A, a super competitive class to say the least, it was Steven Jefferies who took the win from Eric Holmes and Wayne Sutherland. With a few more names to add to the fold as the season progresses, this will be another class to look out for as we move forward.

In Pro class, Andy Forrest (despite starting the day in Class A) was ultimately the fastest – with a blisteringly fast lap behind the wheel of his Westfield (49.558secs). Colin Dorward ended the day second fastest in a borrowed car and he’ll perhaps have more to say at rounds 2 and 3 – and perhaps he too can reach that coveted sub-50 second lap around Knockhill. As for the rest of the field, there is progress and some stunning machinery across the board and expect this Class to really hot up as the season progresses.
