The recent crowning of Sandy Mitchell at Silverstone as the youngest British GT3 Champion since 2007 (with driver partner Rob Collard) was the climax of an amazing 12 year motorsport journey for the 20 year old from Forfar.
Wind the clock back to when Sandy was 8, he had his first experience of karting at Knockhill as a direct result of the MSA governing body initiative of “Try karting for a Fiver”. Without that, who knows whether he would have risen to the heights of a British Champion racing a Lamborghini Huracan GT3! Good luck Sandy with your motorsport career in 2021 and beyond!
