Knockhill Racing Circuit - Circuit Information
One amazing venue... so many uses!
Knockhill Racing Circuit is Scotland’s only internationally graded racing circuit by the MSA, FIA and (S)ACU. Season highlights include the world famous British Superbike and British Touring Car events and a host of motorsport action running all year round.
Knockhill Racing Circuit is a demanding 1.3 mile (2km) track, 30 ft (10m) wide, with a unique series of twists, drops and climbs varying by around 200 ft (60m) from highest to lowest point. A unique feature of the circuit is the licence to run in both Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise configurations. These two unique circuits gives competitors in Scotland a second circuit and a unique challenge.
The picturesque setting just 30 minutes from Edinburgh and 45 minutes from Glasgow, the circuit boasts stunning views over to the Firth of Forth, the Ochil hills and in the distance Wallace Monument.
On a recent trip to Scotland, British Touring Car sensation Fabrizio Giovanardi described the circuit, “It’s a really testing circuit which demands a style of driving you don’t use on any of the other circuits in Britain. In that way it’s unique. You really do have to concentrate 100% all the time because each lap is so short. It’s important you adapt your driving style to suit the track. But it’s great fun”, commented the talented Italian.
