Exclusive Motorshow Launches

The line up of new cars being seen in Scotland and the UK for the first time is rising by the day as more manufacturers are confirming their display vehicles on their stands at the 2011 Official Scottish Motor Show at Knockhill next weekend. The latest to confirm their UK launches are the German giant Mercedes and the deminutive British marques of Morgan and Ginetta.

MERCEDES are unveiling their stunning SLK sports car AND C-class Coupe, in addition to featuring the Formula 1 course car, the gull wing SLS. The cars will have pride of place on the John R Weir stand along with the full range of road cars.

Event Director Stuart Gray said, “This is fantastic news and a further endorsement about the importance that Manufacturers place on the Scottish Motor Show. We have been thrilled to have UK launches in previous Shows from the likes of Ford with the RS 500 Focus straight from Germany and Peugeot RCZ sports car last year.”

In addition, LAND ROVER are pre launch previewing the amazing EVOQUE, not due out until September as well as bringing the Land Rover Experience for visitors to have a run in their fleet on the challenging Knockhill 4 x 4 proving ground.

Stuart continues “To have one of the most important Land Rovers in decades being pre launched with us is amazing. Visitors will see and experience the best of British off road technology and design with the show Evoque and go off road in the Range Rovers, it makes our Show a truly interactive Show with our track rides in road cars. We will have over 30 models, from Alfa, Renault, Ford and many other brands are available for visitors to experience first hand”.

Other star features cars are the first showing of the unique Morgan 3 wheeler and the first UK showing of the road going Ginetta G40 sports car. Scottish car dealer RPM based in Perth and at Knockhill will be featuring both the Morgan and Ginetta on their stand of impressive British built cars, combining the tradition of Morgan and the 2011 technology of Ginetta. Continuing the British theme is the first new MG in over 15 years, the MG6 saloon which will feature on the Morrison’s of Stirling stand.

Over 25 car brands are featuring at the Show, three more than 2010, with more GREEN CARS being featured too, including the ground breaking NISSAN LEAF. The Leaf is the first commercially available family car and will be making its debut next week. HONDA are also exhibiting their stunning CRZ hybrid sports car amongst a show full of ECO friendly cars.

The Show opens to the Public from 10am to 5pm each day, adult admission is £15, concessions £8 and under 12s are free. For full information, tickets can be purchased here.
