Scottish Car Racing and Streetcar Scotland

Battle scarred and weary from a spectacular outing at the MSA British Touring Car Championships this weekend, both the Scottish Mini Cooper and Classic Sports and Saloons competitors will be back at it this Saturday (10th September) when Scottish Championship car racing returns to Knockhill.

Starring alongside the BTCC sensations will be Formula Ford, Legends, Sports and Saloons and Fiesta Championships, plus a guest appearance from the MG Trophy. Action starts from 7.45am with racing commencing at 9.30am. Tickets are available online now and for those who purchased a BTCC programme at the weekend, you can get half price entry if you present the programme on the day.

Here’s a BTCC Classic Sports and Saloons feature video from the weekend to whet your appetite.

On Sunday (11th September), Streetcar Scotland takes place for all you modified fans. Expect to see plenty of ‘swanky motors’ as up to 150 show cars have already been confirmed. Running alongside the event will be Hot Hatch track sessions, so if Shedden, Plato and Neal inspired you this weekend, book into one of our track sessions in your own car. They give you the opportunity to take to the Knockhill tarmac just like the BTCC stars. One word of warning though, we wouldn’t advise taking the kerbs in the same fashion as the boys from the BTCC.

Track sessions can be booked here, but if driving is not your thing, spectator tickets are available here and will also be available at the gate. Knockhill modified events are great for car enthusiasts to gather and celebrate their favourite marque. Expect to see lots of Subarus, Evos, Skylines and dare we say, drag racing Transit vans.

We’ll have FREE to enter ‘drag’ and ‘drift’ competitions in-between the track sessions. So if you reckon your can take on all comers up the main Knockhill straight? Get signed on and show us what you are made of. Alternatively if you fancy a spot of drifting around the Knockhill hairpin to an appreciative audience, get signed up on the day for the heats and final.

Look forward to seeing you all this weekend for another fix of motorsport action at Knockhill.
