Miss Scotland contestants add some finesse to Knockhill Hot Hatch

Ten gorgeous Miss Scotland finalists sampled our Hot Hatch Car Trackday today (Sunday 22 April), adding a little bit of glamour to the day. The brave girls donned hot-pants and Scottish Sun emblazoned t-shirts to host competitions and perform trophy presentations.

Around 80 drivers took to the tarmac in a wealth of machinery including popular marques Toyota, Vauxhall, Renault, Ford, Subaru and an insanely camouflaged white Nissan GTR. Others also sampled our free drag and drift competitions with Andi Halkett taking the drifting honours and David Brown reigning supreme in the drag.

Again, in the Club stakes, it was the Vauxhall boys who came out on top and comfortably lead the 2012 Club Car Championship. However, it was West of Scotland RS Owners’ Club member Annette who scooped the top prize in the Show’n’Shine competition. Here she is below accepting her trophy from one of the Miss Scotland contestants.

Performance French Car Magazine’s, Mark Dow was also at Knockhill today, scouting out the venue and the Hot Hatch scene ahead his magazine’s event in September. They have team up with Knockhill to bring a French theme to the September (16th) Hot Hatch. So if you’ve got a French car, any make, any model, get yourself to Knockhill for a French car celebration.

Next up at Knockhill is our first stock car racing event of the season, Wednesday 25th April from 6pm. It’s a real eye-opener, the racing is fast, frantic and extremely competitive, expect plenty of action when the stock cars are in town! Tickets are available now and we do hope you can come along, it’s great fun!
