Classic BTCC cars on display alongside Scottish BTCC heroes

This year’s visit of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship marks the 20th year that the Championship has been hosted at Knockhill. To celebrate we have gathered together some of the most famous BTCC stars, and cars, for you to enjoy this weekend.

Double Champion John Cleland will be re-united with his 1992 Vauxhall Cavalier. Whilst Anthony Reid will take his Nissan Super Tourer for a spin on the Knockhill Circuit alongside David Leslie’s Honda Accord, Paul Radisich’s Ford Mondeo and Gordon Shedden’s NGTC Honda Civic. We’ll also have Frank Beila’s Audi A4 (a winner at Knockhill) on display alongside the other special exhibits.

We’ve also amassed every surviving Scot who has raced in the BTCC series during those 20 years, with the exception of Jonathan Adam, who will be racing elsewhere this weekend. You can meet the likes Cleland and Reid during an autograph session at the Dunlop Cafe on Sunday 26th August. They will also be joined by John Clark, Ian Forrest, Michael Doyle, Hamish Irvine, Colin Blair, Gavin Pyper and Colin Gallie. You can also meet current BTCC star Gordon Shedden, who will be signing autographs as part of the BTCC paddock autograph session (Sunday 26th).

So, to get you in the mood for some historic BTCC action this weekend, we’ve gathered a few videos from throughout the 20 years to watch on our BTCC webpage. Tickets for the 20th Anniversay can also be booked on the same page!
