Calling all FORD owners – Scottish Ford Live & Hot Hatch on Sunday 18th May

We’re only a matter of days away from the Scottish Ford Live and Hot Hatch Car Trackday event taking place at Knockhill on Sunday 18th May. Entries for track driving and the car show are coming in thick and fast. Ford owners from around the country are heading to Knockhill this weekend to celebrate their favourite marque; and we are calling on all you FORD owners to come along and join the festivities.

As well as track driving sessions for our regular Hot Hatch customers (any make of car), we’re delighted to confirm that there will be sessions available for Ford only models. So if you are a Focus, Fiesta, Carpri or even Mustang owner, there will be plenty of opportunity to sample the twists and dips of Knockhill behind the wheel of your own car this Sunday. Track driving sessions cost £55 in advance and if you belong to a Ford Owners’ Club, there are special rates you can take advantage of, just contact your local group.

Alternatively, if racing on track in your immaculately restored Mk2 Escort isn’t your thing; we’d still love to have your wheels on show this weekend. Car Clubs from up and down the country will be here this weekend, displaying every make and model of Ford machinery you can think of. We’ll have Mondeo, Sierra Cosworth, Focus, Fiesta, Sapphir and plenty of “Old Skool” Escorts; courtesy of the West of Scotland, Durham, North Yorkshire and of course, the Central & East and North East RS Owners’ Clubs; the driving force behind the event.

Indeed, here’s a few examples shared with us on facebook:

Elsewhere, there will be Trade stands with Autosmart, WR Tuning, Sitech Racing, Autoglym and The Ultimate Finish just a few of those already confirmed. We’ll also have a number of iconic cars and current Scottish Championship racing cars on display. Most notably, Jimmy McRae’s championship winning Ford Sierra Cosworth and Graham Wait’s, impressive RS500 Cosworth BTCC car. Others include Charlie Shaw’s super-charged Ford Focus, Ian Blacklin’s Capri 3000 Essex Mk1 and Jimmy Crowe’s Escort Mk1 RS1800.
