John McGuinness, fresh from setting the all time speed record on the world famous Isle of man on his HM Plant Honda, has been confirmed for the amazing spectacle of “Superbikes in the Square! on the evening of Wednesday 1st July.
Scheduled to start with live action from 6pm, the world famous landmark Square will see the race teams arriving from lunchtime in preparation for one of the most amazing events to happen anywhere in the world. With ample time to meet the riders, get autographs and giveaways, the top riders warm to the interaction with the 100’s of fans away from the pressures of the race weekend.
McGuinness, who hales from Morecombe, will be joined by a positive ‘bevvy’ of galactica riding stars including the following:
Camier and Ellison from Airwaves Yamaha, Harris and Easton from Hydrex Honda and Palmer and Laverty from Buildbase Kawasaki.
In addition, Scotland’s youngest stars of the future Taylor Mackenzie and girl racer Sammi Tasker will also be riding in the GP 125cc race.
The event is free and weekend tickets can be purchased at George Square or in advance, saving £3 over the on the day admission price.
