Richards looks forward to BSB-EVO races

Only one day to go until the track action gets underway at the 2011 round of the MCE British Superbikes at Knockhill. One man who has a keen affinity with Knockhill and who is looking to grab some championship points this weekend is Glen Richards.

The Australian ace who competes in the Superbike EVO class, which takes to the track alongside the main Superbike race is no stranger to this part of Scotland. He regularly attends the Niall Mackenzie Superbike School to help coach and instruct trackday enthusiasts.

Joe Tanner grabbed a word with Glen on his last visit and when quizzed for his prediction Glen said:

“Yeah, the EVO bike should go pretty well round here, actually. I’m looking forward to coming to Knockhill. It’s a place l’ve always got on quite well with.

“I won here last year on the Superstock bike and over the years there’s been some fantastic racing and l’ve had some good results. Hopefully the weather is kind to us and we can all have a fantastic weekend.”

The Superbike action gets underway tomorrow with practice and qualifying from 10am. Tickets can still be purchased in advance via the Knockhill website. Any tickets purchased via the website will be subject to box office collection. Advanced web discounts will apply up to Saturday midnight, tickets will also be available at the gate all weekend.
