Champion Hill wants success at Knockhill

Defending MCE British Superbike Champion, Tommy Hill is determined to hit the same heights he reached last year by securing another winning performance this weekend. Last year Hill was in dominant mood around the Knockhill circuit, taking a brace of victories on his way to the 2011 title.

Hill knows what it takes to deliver results on the tricky Knockhill tarmac, those fond memories from last year and the support for Yamaha in Scotland, means the Linfield racer is itching to get everything started.

“I am ready to go to Knockhill and hopefully we will get some sunshine as we always get good support from the local fans there. The round was a cracking one for me last year with a double win and hopefully we can have another good run.

“After missing out in the second race at Snetterton it makes you even hungrier – I wanted to go straight there,” said Hill.

Hill’s Swan Yamaha team-mate Noriyuki Haga, has had to make do with DVD footage of the Knockhill circuit ahead of his first outing here at the weekend. The MotoGP and World Superbike competitor however is just as eager as his stable-mate to get things underway, he commented:

“It will be my first time of going to Knockhill and l don’t have any experience on the track. But I am looking forward to getting out on the Swan Yamaha and hopefully we can achieve some good results.”

Tickets are available now via the Knockhill website. More information about the MCE British Superbike Championship can be found on their Official website, whilst you can find out more about Tommy Hill and Nitro Nori via the Swan Yamaha website.
