Splitlath-Redmond racing duo John Laverty and Frenchman, Florian Marino completed a number of laps on board their Aprillia racing machines at Knockhill today. John, a former Superbike Cup winner and Florian, a former World Supersport rider will be hoping all the extra practice pays off at this weekend’s MCE British Superbike Championship races.
Interestingly, Splitlath-Redmond racing co-owner, Derek Redmond was also at Knockhill today. Redmond is recognised as one of Britain’s finest 400 metre runners, winning medals at World, European and Commonwealth level. Redmond is also a former British Olympian, famous for one of the most iconic Olympic scenes in recent history, when he hobbled to the finish line during his 1992 semi-final heat after damaging his hamstring.
