Gilfillan takes Superstock 600 pole ahead of today’s KMSC race

Young Crossgates racer Greg Gilfillan laid down a maker ahead of the opening Superstock race today. The Kawasaki ZX6 rider powered his machine round the drying Knockhill Circuit in 57.099 seconds to take the front row slot ahead of Callum Paterson and Chris Cook.

Not only will Gilfillan have to contend with other competitors this weekend, he’ll also have his brother Sean hot on his heels. Sean brought his bike home in 7th place, just behind Liam Shellcock (4th), Jon Frost (5th) and  Cathal Laverty (6th).

Gilfillan said:

“It’s quite slippy out there, l think we’ll be on full dry setup for the next race if it stays like this.”

The KMSC race was scheduled to take place at 17.45pm this afternoon, but will now head out onto circuit around 17.15pm. The KMSC lads will also be back in action with two further races tomorrow.

Also still to come this afternoon is BSB qualifying at 14.45pm, at 16.00 we have racing from British Supersport, followed by British Sidecars.
