New spectator bankings and two giant TVs!

As part of our 2011/12 development plan, we decided to create all new spectator bankings around the back end of the circuit. We’re happy to announce that these will be open for the MCE British Superbike event this weekend. We’ll also have two BIG screen TVs in operation, so you can see 100% of the action, 100% of the time.

The bankings, from Scotsman to Clark’s have been raised around 15ft and offer a wide panoramic view across the circuit. Dennis Hobbs took a few moments out to discuss the circuit’s latest improvements.

On a slightly disappointing note, Scotland’s Stuart Easton will be unable to race this weekend due to injury. Everyone at Knockhill wishes Stuart a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action on his Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki.

Easton said: “It is so disappointing for me to miss Knockhill as your home round is always a big one. I have been through a long road of recovery over the past year and have had what I believe to be an amazing comeback with top fives and a podium from the opening rounds.

“ It took a lot of hard work and now to need another operation to have the metalwork in my hip taken out has come at a bad time but it has to be done. It is a race against time to be fit for the next round but this time the recovery won’t be anywhere as hard as last time.

“It is a shame as we are in a strong position in the championship but it is just another hurdle for me and I will be back as soon as possible with the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team.”
