Streetcar and British Drifting event – set to be the biggest yet!

Streetcar Scotland and the British Drifting Championships roll into Knockhill on Sunday 22nd September. It promises to be an all action event with plenty to see and do, on and off track. The main Knockhill Circuit will be alive with the sound of screeching tyres and burning rubber as we host the season finale to the Maxxis British Drifting Championship; with in excess of 100 drift cars entered for Judgement Day; the competition will be extremely fierce, and equally spectacular.

Elsewhere around the venue, there will be lots of other activities that you can enjoy, or indeed; participate in!

In paddock two the guys from Fueltopia will be running another round of the Fueltopia Barrel Sprint. A head-to-head race series that uses elements from drift, gymkhana and drag racing; which sees competitors (in any make of car) race down a dedicated track consisting of three barrels in which they need to navigate (full 360 degrees) before racing to the finish line. This is an exciting form of motor sport making its debut at Knockhill this Sunday; and the best part, is that you can enter in your OWN car for £25 (payable on the day).

James Gilbert, founder of FBS, said “I’m so pumped for the FBS to be heading to Scotland; it’s great to have been able to head over the border recently and check out the scene, I think that our style of racing will go down well with the locals and BDC drivers equally. The team and drivers have been fantastic in supporting what we do and Knockhill is a venue that also encourages grassroots motorsports – I can’t wait to see the results.”

The competition gets underway at approximately 10am. Make sure you register in the Clubhouse for your chance to win £100 and prizes from sponsors Ollo-Clip, Dodo Juice, Wingman, Samco, Death Skateboards and Corbeau.

We will have a number of the cars from this year’s Championship on track for a demo session.

Country Roads – Don’t Risk It Campaign – You have probably seen the TV advert with David Coulthard promoting safer driving on country roads?
