BTCC CAMPING INFORMATION – ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Opening and departure times

 

Open from 10am on Friday 12th August

Closed from 12pm on Monday 15th August

The campsite will not be open until 10am on Friday – please do not arrive at the circuit before this time as campsite access will not be available and we do not have anywhere to let you wait. You are welcome to stay over on the Sunday evening, there is no extra charge for this

Tickets – Please ensure you have bought the correct tickets. When you arrive you must present to the gate your Weekend Camping Ticket. You will exchange this ticket for a campsite wristband which will gain you access throughout the weekend. Please ensure you keep your wristband on at all times, there will be regular patrols by staff and you may be asked to show your wristband.  Any visitors not wearing a wristband will be asked to leave the campsite an hour after the track activity has ended.

Caravans / Motorhomes / Vans – NEW for 2016, there is no surcharge for bringing your caravan/motorhome/van. Please note that NO AWNINGS ARE PERMITTED. The reason for this is due to the restricted space we have on the campsite. All cars will be parked in the nearby car park.

Vehicles on Campsite – Cars are permitted on the campsite if campers are staying onsite all weekend. To restrict vehicle movement and for safety, if you intend to leave the circuit you will be parked in the campsite car park. Scooters are not permitted.

Under 16’s – Campers under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Food and Drink – The 2 main on site restaurants will be open from Friday until Sunday. The Clubhouse bar (burgers, chips, etc) will be open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Kin­nairds restaurant will also be open late for evening meals both nights. There are a number of mobile catering units based around the venue which will be open during the day. The clubhouse will have a disco on the Saturday evening.

Animals – Strictly no animals are allowed on site at any time.

Items not allowed in the campsite – Fireworks, Firewood, Chinese Lanterns, Scooters, Mini Motos, Quads. Drones

Waste & Litter – Please make use of the rubbish bags provided and, when full, dispose in the nearest skip. Extra bags are available at the campsite security hut.

Safety

Open fires are not permitted in the campsite. Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground. Please dispose of coals and single-use barbecues (once cool) in the metal bins provided. Never leave a hot stove or barbecue unattended. Keep roadways clear at all times. Store fuel and generators away from ignition sources. Fire extinguishers are located at various fire points around the campsite. Use only in an emergency and raise the alarm immediately. Secure tents carefully in high winds.

Emergencies

In an emergency go straight to the security hut next to the campsite toilets.

Please note that music and noise is to be kept to a mini­mum after 23:00 in the Main Campsite.

Any campers that persist in making excessive noise may be evicted from the campsite without refund of ticket fees.

Valuables and Security  –Please be vigilant against theft. Personal items and valu­ables are left at your own risk and Knockhill Racing Circuit accept no responsibility for loss or damage sustained to these items.

Quiet Camp Zone  – We have created a ‘quieter’ camping area for families. Please ensure that noise is kept to a minimum and re­spect fellow campers!

Sunday after event live music and track walk – don’t rush away! There will be 1 hour of live music by one of the world’s top Blondie Tribute Bands will be playing at the hairpin tri-oval and you are welcome to do a complete track walk too of the famous 1.3 miles and “Touch the Tarmac!” We will be opening the gate once Race Control has given us the clearance and the main access point is 5m from the Champions Clubhouse in the main paddock Tune to 87.7FM for the live commentary,  Text the Tower on 07941 808552 for shout outs and follow the Live Timing on http://www.tsl-timing.com/
