Super Lap Scotland Round 2-3 Summary (E and F)

SLS_July2018_B

Action from Rounds 2 & 3 of the 2018 Super Lap Scotland powered by Rockstar Energy Drink Series for Classes E and F. Two very different days welcomed the SLS competitors back in June – with torrential rain the order of the day for Saturday’s Reverse Circuit round and dry conditions for Sunday’s Clockwise action.

On Saturday in Class F, it was Martin Brown’s day in his Subaru Impreza WRX, with a qualification and final victory on the day. Yumen Lai rounded out the day in P2 closely followed by Kevin Strachan in his Renault Clio. Sunday’s clockwise action followed a similar vein with Brown once again taking the qualifying and class win. Yumen Lai had to settle for playing second fiddle once again whilst Lewis MacDougall and Michael Anderson made it into the 3rd placed podium slots in qualifying and the final respectively.

In Class E, the Renault Clios still reign supreme; with Michael Foster, Stevie McNab and John Lindsay all locking horns at the head of the field. Foster took the qualifying win ahead of Lindsay on Saturday with the same two drivers switching order in the finals – Foster taking the win with Lindsay in P2. Sunday’s action saw Foster up the ante and take a clean sweep of both qualifying and final victory behind the wheel of his Renault Clio 172 ahead of Lindsay (Q) and Euan Duncan in the final.

Heading into Rounds 4 and 5 this weekend, Martin Brown leads Class F with a 100% record ahead of Yumen Lai and Lewis MacDougall; and, Michael Foster leads the highly-competitive Class E by just 4 points ahead of John Lindsay and Euan Duncan.
