Just a few days on from the 100th Anniversary of the ‘Battle of the Somme’, Knockhill would like to remind fans that the World of Supercars event sponsored by Autoglym has been chosen as our Armed Forces Appreciation event for 2016.
What does that mean?
Each year we select an event to help raise awareness, funds and to show appreciation to our armed forces personnel, both past and present; by offering discounted access to one of our events on our yearly calendar. This year, both serving and veteran personnel will enjoy FREE admission to the World of Supercar event set to take place on Sunday 24th July. Additionally, anyone accompanying those personnel (friends and family) will receive ‘concession rate’ admission.
The World of Supercars event sponsored by Autoglym will be a thrilling day out, jam-packed with action on and off track at Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre – Knockhill Racing Circuit. The paddocks around Knockhill will be awash with some of the world’s most-exclusive supercars including representatives from the Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini and Porsche brands. It will be quite literally be the biggest gathering of Supercars in Scotland this year; and quite easily the most expensive showcase of exotica we have ever seen at Knockhill with the cumulative cost running into the millions. But, despite the large price tags – some keen and enthusiastic owners will also be taking a plethora of Supercars on track to show just what these machines are capable of in a number of Trackday sessions.
So, if you want to see all your favorite supercars being driven flat-out in front of your very eyes – head along to Knockhill on 24th July for a supercar treat.
Armed Forces and friends/family admission
To come along to our Armed Forces Appreciation day, simply arrive on the day with some form of military id and anyone accompanying you at that point will benefit from concession rate admission whilst you go for FREE.
