Barrier talks Knockhill, Haggis, Frogs Legs and Irn-Bru with DuncV

At the start of the year, we suggested we’d get Sylvain Barrier to try some national favourites on his first visit to Knockhill including whiskey and haggis. Sylvain wasn’t too keen on the whiskey tasting, but was well up for tasting the haggis.

So, when he and his Smith’s Racing Team rolled in for a test day at the end of June, we got Kinnaird’s Bistro to rustle up some haggis and square sausage for him to try. Apparently, haggis tastes just like the French Boudin dish and Irn-Bru tastes somewhat like Prosecco mixed with Aperol apparently. And, if you are ever in doubt about the name of things… the cameraman knows all.

Sylvain also got his first taste of the Knockhill track and despite an off at Duffus Dip at the end of the day, was relatively happy with his first visit to the track.

Barrier, and his fellow Bennetts BSB competitors will arrive any day now to make their final preparations for this weekend’s race meet. The Superbike riders will get their first taste of Knockhill this Friday (6th July) for two practice sessions, before qualifying action takes place on Saturday (7th July); followed by two feature BSB races on Sunday (8th July).

Tickets for the event are on sale now via the Knockhill website. All tickets booked in advance are subject to pre-booking discounts. Our ticket collection service will be in operation from Wednesday 4th July from 12pm. Therefore, any tickets bought online or over the phone from that point will be held at the track for collection on the day of your visit. Alternatively, tickets will also be available on the gate throughout the weekend.

Hope to see you here.
