Knockhill supports Blood Bikers Scotland

Knockhill are pleased to be supporting Blood Bikers Scotland this year. They provide an amazing voluntary service that supports the NHS and medical scene in Scotland and you will see them at a number of Knockhill events this summer.

Here is their story;

Our service is simple. We offer a free of charge transport service to the NHS as a way of ‘giving something back’. Our service is run by volunteers in their own time. #itswhatwedo. Blood Bikes Scotland support teams in both primary and secondary care including GPs, District Nurses, Care Homes and Community Hospitals as well as secondary care hospitals.

We deliver small urgent items that are required to be moved from one site to another or to a patient’s home in the community. By using motorbikes, we are able to move these items quicker than conventional four wheeled vehicles which is vital as many items are time critical. This service is provided in all weathers and always with a smile and in a professional, friendly, trusting manner. We provide an efficient and sustainable service that is patient focussed and a pivotal support aspect to patient care both in the hospital setting and in the community.
