Your Formula Race Car Experience
You will be buzzing with excitement as you climb into your very own Formula Race Car. Learn the best racing technique at the wheel of Top Gear’s Sports Car of the year, the stunning Alpine A110 rear wheel drive sports car. Next, it’s your turn to sit back and relax as our talented instructors take the wheel for your demonstration drive, pay attention as you will soon be racing around the track just inches from our international circuit as you take control of a Formula Racing Car. These cars are quick, slick and deliver an awesome driving experience.
Formula Race Car
The excitement begins as you climb into the cockpit of the Formula Race Car and take a seat just inches above the tarmac. With a light body, the power to weight ratio is awesome. A long wheel base offers stable cornering in all weathers; the 1.8 litre, 16 valve mid-engine allows for speeds in excess of 100 mph.
Alpine A110 Sports Car
We're thrilled to introduce you to this multi award-winning sports car - the Alpine A110. Made by the historic French sportscar manufacturer Alpine, this car is loved by everyone who gets behind the wheel. It's fast, agile, and perfect for the twists and turns of Knockhill's iconic racing circuit. In fact, Top Gear awarded the Alpine A110 both ‘Performance Car of the Year’ and ‘Sports Car of the Year’, calling it "One of the best sports cars ever made." We couldn't agree more! This seriously quick car is a real driver's car, and we know you'll love it as much as we do.
The Track
Knockhill Racing Circuit is Scotland’s only approved Motorsport UK and FIA Internationally graded Circuit and is famous for hosting major televised motorsport events such as the British Touring Car and the British Superbike Championships.
A demanding road-circuit style track, 1.27 miles (2km) long, and 30 feet (10 m) wide, with a dramatic series of twists, turns, drops and climbs, varying by around 200 feet (60m) from highest to lowest point. Drive on the same International Circuit as driven by Jackie Stewart, Stirling Moss, David Coulthard, Lewis Hamilton, Paul Di Resta and our very own BTCC Stars Gordon Shedden and Rory Butcher.
